CURATORIAL RESEARCH
As an anthropologist and art curator, I view curatorial research as a playground for inspiration and learning. It's a realm that uncovers the issues that weigh on artists and societies, what they have to express, the fresh methods of creation and transformation alongside with the context. In my perspective, research shouldn't confine itself to archival work; instead, it should discover ways to engage in conversation with current artists and the society.
PROJECTS
UNHABIT
by Camila Meléndez
This thesis proposes an art exhibition in dialogue with ethnographic research, which gathers the nuances of the experience of undwelling. In this project an anthropological perspective, an analysis of space perception, and curatorial thinking converge. In this way, the thesis proposes both new ways of thinking about dwelling and unconventional curatorial devices.
